For some reason, many people view being able to run X amount of miles as a standard for fitness. Whether "X" is a single mile, a 5k, or a marathon, conventional wisdom places these long-distance athletes at the top of the fitness pyramid. But us crossfitters know better...
We understand that these fitness enthusiasts are a specialized subset of athlete, cardiovascularly "superior" yet musculoskeletally compromised. More than most, they are devoted to their training, oftentimes not realizing that logging mile after mile is slowly breaking their bodies down, setting themselves up for chronic injury and relative unhealth.
With all of the misinformation being fed to our oxidative energy pathway marathon brethren, the fact still remains that when you get 44,000 people together to run 26.2 miles, you get one hell of a time lapse video shot. Enjoy...

Warm-up
S/S: Handstand skill work, 15 minutes
WOD: Complete 1 snatch every minute for 15 minutes. Post loads to comments.
*There are two ways of attacking this workout. 1) Warm up to a heavy weight, and try to maintain that weight throughout the 15 minutes, or 2) Start lighter, and work your way up to the heavier end of the scale.
